Vintage Conditions |
The growing season that produced the grapes to make this wine was
long and cool. The cool summer ripened the grapes very slowly, which was favourable
for maximum flavour development. Flavour intensity is at its peak at sugar levels
that are correspondingly high. |
Winemakers Comments |
The colour is mid straw. Brilliant clarity. The aromas are intense ripe
tropical fruit characters with pineapple, peach and fig flavours dominate. Subtle
nutty, toasty French oak characters are also evident. The palate continues the rich
ripe tropical fruit flavours with the nutty toasty oak. A beautifully balanced palate
combines the fruit and oak characters with a fresh, clean finish with excellent
persistence. |
Food Accompaniments |
Chardonnay with a touch of oak is suited to most stronger flavoured
dishes as well as salads and pastas.
